Pressing Issues in Allergy-Immunology Discussed at ACAAI HOD Meeting and Town Forum

Allergy extracts, new developments at the FDA and other hot topics in allergy health care will be discussed at the House of Delegates (HOD) Meeting and Town Hall Forum from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, in Room 314-315 at the ACAAI Baltimore Convention Center.

“All members are invited to attend the HOD gathering,” said Lawrence DuBuske, MD, FACAAI, Speaker of the House. “This will be an opportunity to hear from experts about new developments and important issues that will greatly impact our specialty.”

The program includes the following presentations:

  • “Update on the JCAAI” – Richard Honsinger, MD, MACP, FACAAI, president of JCAAI.
  • “A Paradigm Shift in Medical Education” – Darrell G. Kirch, MD, president and chief executive officer, Association of American Medical Colleges
  • “New FDA Developments: Update on the Changing Landscape of Allergy Extracts” – Jay Slater, MD, director of FDA’s Division of Bacterial, Parasitic and Allergenic Products
  • “New developments at the FDA: Update on Current Status of Issues Impacting the Practicing Allergist” – Susan Limb, MD, clinical team leader, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Rheumatology Products, CDER, FDA
